JVC JAZZ FESTIVAL, MIAMI BEACH - May 17-21

This year's JVC Jazz Festival in Miami was a big success with sold out shows by Medeski, Martin & Wood under the stars at the 73rd Street Bandshell. Arturo Sandoval performed at his new, red-hot club in the Deauville Hotel.

The Miami Herald called the Festival "intriguing" and jazz fans were treated to a diverse line up with performers ranging from new groups like the Pastorius Brothers' "Way of the Groove" and The Lee Boys to classic innovators like the legendary inventor of Mambo, Cachao.

Eartha Kitt and John Pizzarelli brought down the house with their special brand of entertaining jazz, cabaret and song at the world famous Jackie Gleason Theater.
