Full HD 1920x1080 Recording

All of the image information you are capable of seeing on an HDTV display will be recorded at the camcorder. Without losing any visual information to start with, this native 1920x1080 resolution is maintained from recording to playback.
World's Smallest and Slimmest Design

It took JVC to make an HD camcorder so small and light. 30% smaller compared to the previous year's, these models are the world's smallest and thinnest HD camcorders with built-in HDD*, making them easier to carry and enjoy than ever before.
*As of January 2009.
HD Gigabrid Premium Engine

In addition to advanced image processing to optimise picture quality, this chip also helps reduce power consumption by 30% compared to previous Everio models, and enables approx. 2.5x faster creation of DVD/AVCHD DVD discs.
24Mbps Ultra High Quality AVCHD Recording
In addition to the conventional XP/SP/EP modes, we have added a new UXP mode with an unprecedented bit rate of 24Mbps max. to deliver more detailed, sharper images with less noise.
1920x1080/50P Output
Using the same technology as DynaPix HD displays, this function outputs a 1080 scanning line image at progressive 50fps so you can enjoy uncompromising picture quality on a TV that accepts 1080P input.

20x Optical Zoom

Developed for Everio by the camera specialists at KONICA MINOLTA, this new HD lens features advanced optics to deliver a high zoom ratio that's tops in its class for HD camcorders.
Face Detection
Intelligently identifies up to 16 faces then accurately adjusts the focus and exposure for sharp, beautiful images.

HDMI™ (V.1.3 with x.v.Colour™)
The xvYCC colour standard, known as x.v.Colour™, provides more accurate colour reproduction with more detail and shades. Among the colours that the human eye can perceive, x.v.Colour™ can display 100% compared to about 55% with sRGB.

New Laser Touch Operation
An evolved version of our previous Laser Touch Operation, this system now allows Zooming and Recording using either the Laser Touch or standard zoom lever and REC button. Of course, browsing through indexes and menu selections is easy as ever.

Auto Power ON/OFF & Auto Lens Cover
With Everio, you don't have to use the power switch each time you operate because the power is linked to the LCD's opening and closing. Just open the LCD; the power turns on and the lens cover automatically opens. Just close the LCD to power off and close the lens cover too.

Quick Restart

In combination with Auto Power ON, you're ready to shoot in about 1 second when the LCD is re-opened. Never miss a crucial moment.
Digest Playback

This function automatically selects highlight scenes from among the recorded content using our proprietary algorithm and plays back what looks like a “coming attractions” trailer for a movie. 60 minutes of footage is condensed into 5 minutes of highlight scene.
Convenient 2-Way Strap

You can use it as either a grip belt or a wrist strap, whichever suits the occasion. When not in use, it fits snugly against the body to minimise storage space.
Your Choice of Storage Media
Built-in Hard Disk Drive
Hard Disk-type Everio models have a built-in high-capacity Hard Disk Drive ranging from 60GB to 120GB (differs by model). In the case of Standard Definition Everio, the 120GB HDD will allow up to 150 hours of recording. There's also a microSD/SDHC Card slot for additional storage and easy data transfer.
World's First Dual SD Card Slot*
