The KD-R901 dual USB/CD receiver comes with a USB Bluetooth® adapter and a wired MIC, offering both safety and convenience. The convenient dual USB ports let you play a variety of sources including iPod/iPhone, in MP3/WMA/AAC/WAV/WMA-DRM format. The receiver features MOS-FET power amplifiers and TI/Burr-Brown 24-bit DAC for high quality sound. The Variable-Colour Illumination offers over 30,000 colour choices to suit your car interior. Other features include Front AUX input, HS-IVi tuner, and 3-band parametric iEQ. You can also enjoy DAB Radio via an optional tuner.
Dual USB Ports
A USB Bluetooth® adapter is included in the package, providing a vast range of audio entertainment options with dual USB ports. Full-time Bluetooth® users can connect the adapter on the rear USB port and use the front port for iPod etc. Occasional Bluetooth® users can plug the USB Bluetooth® adapter to the front USB, or you can use both front and rear USB for music sources. In addition to iPod/iPhone, you can connect a portable HDD*, USB flash memory, or a digital audio player for playback of MP3/WMA/AAC**/WAV/WMA-DRM audio files. You can quickly find and play your favourite songs even from a huge USB archive. The operation with menu/back key and the volume dial provides easy and speedy access to your audio files with PC-like folder structure.

Bluetooth® Wireless Technology with USB Adapter
The KD-R901 comes with a USB Bluetooth® adapter and a wired MIC for wireless connection with compatible devices, including iPhone*. You can enjoy hands-free calling, voice recognition dialing, audio streaming, and SMS message receipt notification. The wireless functions work even if your mobile phone is tucked away in your bag or pocket. The wired MIC can be placed at various settings, offering clear communication for Bluetooth® phone calls. You can even make 2-step quick calls from the head unit. The KD-R901 also features the Phone Book Access Profile, providing direct access your mobile phone’s phonebook without transferring to the head unit.

iPod/iPhone Audio
Connect your iPod/iPhone to the unit’s USB port with the iPod/iPhone dock connector, and enjoy music in clear, digital sound with full-speed transfer. Your iPod/iPhone’s battery will be charged during connection.
2-Way Control for iPod/iPhone
The 2-way control for iPod/iPhone lets you easily operate controls from your iPod/iPhone or the head unit. The basic functions can be controlled on the head unit even during iPod/iPhone mode. The song information is shown on the display in both modes.
Variable-Colour Illumination
Choose your perfect colour with Variable-Colour Illumination, offering 30 preset colours + over 30,000 colours customisable by RGB combination. Operation is easily achieved just by using the menu key and the volume dial.
Smart Display Function
The Smart Display Function is a user-friendly feature that notifies the user by changing the illumination colour. When you are operating on the menu function, the illumination colour turns to white. The illumination automatically changes to blue and blinks to notify when you receive a phone call via Bluetooth®.

Detachable Control Panel
The anti-theft detachable face panel provides additional safety when leaving your car.
HS-IVi Tuner
The HS-IVi tuner features high sensitivity and selectivity with 8-bandwidth variable IF filter. It also includes AM Noise Canceller, plus upgraded IF filters that help avoid the distortion caused by interference from adjacent stations.
Ready for DAB Radio
The KD-R901 is compatible with DAB Radio with an optional tuner. Enjoy a multitude of programs in premium digital sound.
MOS-FET Power Amp
Unlike conventional bipolar transistors, MOS-FET devices do not generate crossover distortion when boosting voltage in the power amplifier. MOS-FET also features a higher signal-to-nose ratio, which means high frequencies are not degraded by noise.
